Changing your windsheild is not rough at all. There is a tool that is made just for this, replacing your window takes like 5mins to do. The snap on company supplies this. A freind at drivetime does this all the time and repairs cracks etc.. And windsheilds do not just shatter. You watch to many movies. Take a sledge and hammer your window it will not just shatter it will crumble into one giant cracked piece. Your windsheild is designed for this, its for saftey. As far as your other windows yes they can shatter. I just had my window done Friday.

Do you happen to have full coverage insurance? Cause if you do they will cover this. And I think free of charge.

Take your molding off the windshield, take this tool which you get from snap on for like $15. It makes this job 100times easier then using the wire and you can do everything yourself without help. remove the adesive-clean then apply the adesive again place the windsheild on then molding then tap the molding on the car and let it dry for like 1hour or so. 2 at the most. Then good to go.

not if you dont have comprehensive. if its liabillty they will not fix it. I would just get a new one put on, and with a lifetime warranty.

errrrr wrong look at the year that was implimented in the early 90's due to windshileds shattering. Double PLy windshields are athing of the 90's your lucky if a tiny crack didnt toss a windshiled in your face. Side windows are designed to shatter upon impact as well as the rear windshield. Call a profesional or your insurance its usually free from your insurance we just had 2 window replaced for free in te prelude damn thiefs !! State Farm has a policy to replace windows for free, considered a safety item.

+1 FLORIDA STATUTE ALL WINDOWS MUST BE REPLACED. INsurance companys are liable for windows when notified. I had PIP and LI on my Z24 and my car as ravaged and they replaced every single window for free.
