Default Why would I keep breaking valves...?

I have a 94 civic 4dr. If anyone remembers my last tech post, I had a broke valve. Specifically, one of the exhaust valve on number 3. I had it fixed, got the head all nice and shiney, and slapped it all back together. Well, about a week ago, number 3 was completely dead. I figured fuck it and I'll just get another motor soon.

Fast forward to today. Got my next motor and ripped the old one out, and the EXACT same exhaust valve was broke again Since I am getting a new motor this doesn't concern me now, but why would the same valve break twice. I obviously put a new one in to replace the previous;y busted one. I inspected the pistion top to see if there were any signs of the valve hitting it and there's not a scratch. All I know is that I was kind of running rich the whole time, and the replacement valve was not an OEM but cheap after market replacement. Any thoughts why this was happening?

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

Funny you should mention valve guide. Thats all I can assume as well. There's no slapping, and valves were adjusted properly. As I thought I mentioned, there wasn't a scratch on the pistons, so the piston wasn't hitting. Conclusion then... must be the valve guide, but I am having the motor switched as of right now, so thanks for all your help.

Sounds like the guide but I've never seen it before. I have heard of someone who installed their own guide and it was a bit off problem was caught before anything went too bad.
