JUN.

I have had both cams in old setups (JUN 3 & TODA spec B), and after extensive tuning with both, the JUN definately came out ahead, in terms of driveability, power output, and performance. My best experience was with all motor cams was with JUN stage 3 , as well I even had great results with CTR/ITR cams as well, although tuning is still the most important factor (as always).

Obviously, the answer to this question would depend on your intended purpose for your specific setup.
Toda's are primarily intended for road racing, having larger nonVtec lobe for more low end power, but often tend to lack in max hp.
If you are looking for a drag setup, you would definately be more inclined to look into the JUN's. Aside from being more driveable, considering the smaller nonVtec lobe, it also produces higher output because of the larger vtec lobe as well.
And if my memory serves me correct JUN now offers a stage 4 cam as well.

The only way any of this is going to make a difference in the end, is with a knowledgeable, experienced tuner, and plenty of tuning.

i've never heard anything about toda being a better cam for road racing. if you run toda i would suggest to do your whole setup toda. the spec b's are nice.....but if you want to run c's then your going to love your idle lol

jun is also very nice as well.

How many of you guys suggesting Toda B's have actually run them? I'd recommend the Jun 3's or Skunk 2 stage 2, both of which are very similar. Toda B's ramp angles are too steep in my opinion and cause timing belt snapping issues due to all the belt slap.

Oh and check into the new Dynamic Autosports cams. Been hearing and seeing good stuff out of those.

so whys everyone voting for toda b's???

toda b's are badass, if you can get the tuning right

tuning
with toda b's youll have idle issues and problems with low rpm

the primamry lobes on the b's are almost as large as the secondary (vtec) !

for a road race cam..the toda series wins hand down
midrange power owns

for a good streetable drag cam....going with todas might b a mistake

you can get there with less tuning time with skunk2 stg 2 or jun3, as the primary lobes are almost identical to factory cams

if you want to extract more peak power go with juns or skunk stg2

those cams will make better peak power then toda b's

i believe the jun3's will either match or out perform the c's with peak power also

also..did you consider ef-1 cams? much better price with similar performance

"This is the second time we have gone after the tuning for a review on the Toda D's. The Toda cams got way, way more tuning than the Skunk Type-2's, and they didn't come out on top on this particular motor. With way more compression, perhaps.. The Skunks made 4 more WHP and 4 more pounds of torque almost all over. And this motor was no slouch....it is All Motor, about 13.5:1 Compression, with a large bore size. With ITB's AND SMSP header......"
