The head may have been fused to the block. You might be able to heat it with a torch (like for welding and cutting) then pull it when it's heated, but those are rare tools and you might not have access to them

If jb weld was used wouldnt it be harder to blow the seal ? or maybe it would show atleast a little bit of the weld out the sides and possibly noticable.

if the car was over heaeted a few times,then thats why you re having
this problem,the head gasket is made out of copper for this car & tends to stick together once its heated up,I have changed a few head gaskets on this type of car & had the same problem,(but probly not this bad)I used a big pry bar to seperate head & it worked out well

sometimes there is a bracket or piece of shielding on the timing belt side that links the head to the block behind the timing gear. other than that, prybar.

it came off. I told Sone to go over there and give it a try and he came back in 5 minutes head in hand.
