Ceramic coating pistons
I am rebuilding an LS motor for Nitrous. I have been told to ceramic coat the pistons so that they will withstand the nitrous. I need to know if this is OK for daily driving and where to get it done at. Engine Lab does not offer ceramic coating.

There is no problem with daily driving but after a period of time that ceramic coating will burn off. I would only recommend Swain Tech. I was going to have my domes and side skirts done but I refuse to spend another $1.00 on my bottom end, heh.

What pistons are you going to be using? That is a big difference in what you need to do. The swain tech coatings are badass, but if your using a quality piston, on a tuned motor, you can skip that test and still be safe as long as you keep it realistic. What kind of parts are you using in your setup?
Im a nitrous junkee as well, been using it for more years than a lot of these kids have been driving

and crank balanced
Head rebuilt Port n Polish 3 angle valve job
Crane stage 2 cams
Crower valve train
S-AFC to poor for Hondata
B16 trans
And juice

ARP rodbolts are on their way and the ARP headbolts are already here.
As far as pistons, I am only going to run a 65 or 75 fogger system so I appreciate your advice but I am going to stay w/ stock pistons.
I just want to get this thing assembled and running w/ no problems so that I can sell it and build a street rod.
