sounds to me like a relay for the clutch or if its a b16swap was the car a automatic,i dont think its the strater but to be shair pull the firing plug and run a wire from the battery to so if it turns MAKE SURE ITS OUT OF GEAR

I agree. Iam not sure if this works on all starters but I know on some of the 95 dodge pickups you can hit the starter and try to start it again and repeat, I guess to see if thats it or not.

If you want to manual start the car you can connect a wire from the pos. terminal on the batt. to the starter. THat should start. If not that stater is def. bad. There are other ways to test the starter you could take it off and have like auto parts store hook it up to a voltmeter or ammeter to test the amps.V. Check all your connections to like your ground on the starter itself.

It could also be a loose connection on the battery. Wiggle them around and go back in and try again. That click click click sounds like a starter though.

if i tap the starter are you saying that it will free up the starter and it will start every time. I have checked the volts and they are at 12.33 that is fine the battery is not dead it is at the same.

You could take your stater off and take it apart and clean it up with a rag then slap it back on the car and then start the car. lol. It does work.
