all of a sudden no vtec?????????

my car has been driving fine. today i installed a air/fuel ratio gauge and replaced the black cap on the head that goes by the vtec solenoid. also did an oil change. after doing this all of a sudden i have no vtec. no check engine lights, nothing. nothing with the vtec system was touched. anyone have any possible idea what is wrong???? im lost any help will be appreciated.

Wierd, you should be throwing a code if your vtec cyl is unplugged...

Check your oil levels, make sure the car is at normal operating temp before trying to hit vtec.

Make sure everything is plugged in: vtec oil pressure switch & vtec cyl

i just did an oil change today and i put a new thermostat in last sunday. temp and oil press are fine. i have checking all plug ins for the solenoid. im not thorwing any codes either. it dont make sense

Sounds wierd... You honestly should be throwing a code...

Try resetting your ecu... ?
I dont know what to tell you.
If it was my car I would pull out a helms/haynes manual and troubleshoot the vtec cyl & vtec pressure switch.

did U get the air /fuel gauge workin.IF not
then U may have wired it up wrong

i did also reset the ecu and the gauge is working just fine. i even cut the power wire to the gauge to make sure that wasnt messing with anything. im stumped.

your motor became al ls ?

maybe check for shortages to the vtec solenoid , get out a voltage testers adn make sure everythign is good

try putting 12v to the vtec solenoid at idle to see if the solenoid is workin att all. if it is working when 12v is applied to the 1 wire coming off the soleniod the engine will stumble and maybe stall.
