Default Turbo my B16 CRX..

Hey Guys

I have a B16 in my crx, all stock internals..some bolt ons..

I want to turbo the crx now. I want to know how much can I boost on the stock motor before it starts messing up the motor?

Also I want to know what size intercooler and size turbo should I run??

I want to get some decent power out of the car.. Let me know.. Thanks in advance

it all depends on how much you spend on tuning the car plus what kind of fuel mag. you have have on it. I would say things would be fine at 8psi give or take. I have seen some motors hold over 18 with thicker head gasket but yet again its all in the guy that is working on the motor

generally speaking, a stock b16 motor with a bolt on turbo kit will be ok at about 7-8psi with the provided fmu and fuel pump. if u upgrade the fuel system u can get away with 10psi for quite a while. too much timing will eat away at the life of your motor also, so make sure that its conservative

You will be fine on stock internals provided you get some sort of management (Hondata, AEM EMS, FAST), larger injectors and some good tuning. With that done you should be able to push 280whp safely. I would recommend a T3/T04E 50 trim with a .48 A/R turbine or if you have an extra $150.00 - $200.00 a Precision SC50.

Honestly I would ditch the FMU for Hondata or at least an Apexi VAFC.

Hey

Oh you dont need to run the FMU??

I thought you had to run it

I heard that the JG Edelbrock intake manifold is a good manifold to run for turbo.. is that true or should I just stay with stock??

Thanks again for the help guys.
