Default Motor

This maybe a stupid question but i am going to ask it anyway.

My gsr has over 100,000 miles i was thinking about doing gettin another motor to replace it. But what i was thinking was if i replace the valve train, pistons, rods, etc that would pretty much be like gettin a new motor right. I would be savin my self a shit load of money because that is what i wanted to do anyway.

Need feedback, Thanks

If you're going to build it then build it, if not then run the engine until it can't run anymore and THEN buy another one.

Dude you're right this is a very stupid and poorly worded question, but no it's not "new" it's called a REBUILT engine. Some say it's almost as good as new, which it isn't.

100k isnt really that much for a h/a..... if you dont have any problems with it i wouldnt worry about it. but if you want to build a motor just build the one you have. of course its not going to be the same as a new motor but it wont be far from it.

If you do decide to "rebuild" your motor, I highly recommend staying with factory parts such as pistons, rings, bearings, pumps etc
