Default B16a Head Problems

I've had this problem for a while now ever since I got the car. The valves click really loud, I had a crooked exhaust CAM GEAR, and when I upshift into a higher gear at low rpm and press the gas more than a 1/6th of the way down, it clicks very loud, a wierd sounding click. Pressing the gas more than like 1/6th of the way down also makes this noise in any gear until about 3500+ rpms. I dont rev past 5k because when I do, bad things happen. The spark plug seals will leak, and the cam gear rubber bushing thingy works its way loose and leakes oil down to the header then goes splash. I think this may have been due to the crooked cam gear woobling so fast at that high of an rpm, then when VTEC engages, just fuckes everything up. Also, the car smokes very bad. It doesnt have a cat, but I know that isnt the whole smoke problem. I honestly cant tell what color the smoke is, I'm thinkin grey/black and it smells bad. And Im getting shitty gas mileage. What could be causing this in my b16's head? milled cams? bent valves? bent cam? I need to know and get it fixed asap.

sounds like you need a valve adjustment to correct the clicking. and you valve guides seem worn if the spark plugs get oil in them, what do you mean crooked that the cam gear is bent or the timing is crooked(off0) ethier way get a new cam gear and reset it to tdc.

one of the spokes on the gear is cracked to that spoke bent inward a little now when it rotates it sorta wobbles. That couldnt have caused bent valves could it?

Fix it ASAP before the bad harmonics fuck up the cam journals and ruin the head. Somebody give this guy a set of stock gears so he doesn't blow a good b16a head.

Why don't people ever quit rednecking their hondahs and bother to actually take a car to a shop where people that know what they are doing can hear the sounds themselves and give an answer? This whole... 'i hear clicking' shit is getting old and useless.... there are SO many things that it 'could' be...

This is the kind of shit i hate myself for, for getting other peoples rigged out bullshit motors. I will never get another motor from any one but a company that sells them. I took some pics for some of you to check out, call me a noob but the intake cam has an E on it, does that mean exhaust? :ugh: Im gonn try to get a cam asap so if anyone is bored and would like to help me out, tell me! 99B16Si, that sounds cool how much for the cam gears and such?
