rocker arm ?

Default rocker arm ?

i had a ticking in the so i pulled the valve cover and saw i was missing a nut on 1 of the rocker arms so i got a new 1 put it on and it still makes the same ticking noise r there any other things that go on the rocker arm besides that 1 nut please help ill even go to your house so u can
see what im talking about

the ticking is probably the nut that was missing......

Do a valve adjustment, it's probably just valve tap.

I don't know how you can sleep at night knowing there's a loose nut floating around your motor...
First thing I would do is pull the pan and check for the nut. As for the ticking, if you just replaced the nut without specing the lash, that would be the culprit.

I've seen this before. Take the valve cover off and pour several quarts of oil directly onto the valvetrain and oil galleys. Drain the oil and search for your nut. If you don't find it take off the pan and windage tray and it will probably show up.

In hindsight, before pulling the pan I'd simply drain the oil and poke around in it with a magnetic probe. If that doesn't find the nut, then I'd yank it.

Try doin a valve ajustment to the valve thats ticking.

yea man, you are extremely lucky, that nut could have done some serious damage. i wouldnt drive it till i found that nut, thats just me tho
