my car smells like its burning oil.........
it started about 2 weeks ago. so i decided to do a oil change and i did, but when i went under my car, the drain plug was a bit loose and my exausr piping was a bit covered in oil. so i put 2 and 2 together and i come up with, BURNING OIL. wrong, after the oil change and a new filter and a tighter drain plug, it is still smelling like shit. so i jack the car back up the next morning and spray a shit load of engine degreaser under the car and clean it all up. STILL SMELLING LIKE BURNING OIL. what is it. engine is about to have 8,000 miles on it. never had any problems with it b4. someone help

Is it still leaking on the exhaust after all that? Is the exhaust smoking? Stick your hand behind the pipe with the car on and check for blow by.

to my notice, no but people have said they've SEEN smoke but its not constant. and it could but my exaust blowing diry around cause when i rev it up to see smoke all i see is dirt being blown away. (my exaust stops 3 feet after my shiftlinkage)
