I need to replace my rings because I am burning oil. While the engine is out of the car I want to do some upgrades to increase HP. Any suggestions?

I will not be doing the work, how long does an engine rebuild ussually take? And how much can I expect to pay?

I need the car to run without burning oil and I plan on keeping it for 4 more years, so I have to fix it no matter what the cost.

I am guessing 1,000-2,000 without doing any other work. Adding pistons etc will definetly increase the cost.
