The seal on the tranny could be bad, although they only use RVT silicone between the tranny and bell housing. But from were you say its leaking from it could be your rear main seal. Which is semi easy to fix if you know what your doing. Either way to fix the leak the tranny gonna have to come off.

Dosent sound like the rear seal or the case. I bet it is the shift rod seal or the rod is bend. Tend to leak when they get bent. Tranny will have to be removed to fix, but if it only leaking a small amount I dont see any need to fix until you plan on doing another major imporvment such as clutch or lsd.
