clicking when i brake

Default clicking when i brake

I dont know if its a brake problem or a cv problem,but when i brake there is a clicking noise from my front end. Odd thing is if i apply my brakes harder it goes away any suggestions would be helpful

i think i heard the same from my car...i dont know what it is...maybe my brakes...i need new ones...

yup its clicking it seems to be coming from the front right i just noticed my trans. is leaking is that it or is that another prob.
its an ls so i dont know about the antilock

Yeah you have antilock brakes...Your tranny leak is another problem...Your brake pads are sliding in the caliper bracket...No need to worry about the clicking noise unless you can see that something is not mounted securely...All Impreza'a brakes click when we back out of the driveway and then pull forward...When the brakes heat up, the clicking goes away...

If clicking only occurs under light braking and ceases under heavy, chances are Sunrise is right and it's just the pad retainers on the caliper(s). I get that ever now and again when using different pads. Seems the tab thickness from pad to pad is not always uniform.
