type s bov

Default type s bov

i installed the greddy turbo kit now i need to put the bov in, its the greddy type s its already on the charge pipe but i need to put the hoses on them. There are two connectors for hoses on the bov.
i have the top one "T"ed at the FPR and the intake mani
what about the other ?i dont think its working right cuz it not blowing off .... well i dont think it is ..
its hard to tell. Im new to the turbo world and any help would be
great

you only use the vacuum fitting on the top of the BOV, leave the bottom one open. also u said u dont think its opening...just adjust the bov with the little screw on top

99b16Si you kick ass .. works perfect now ... well
im not sure how to adjust it but not is making a rattle sound when it blows off like a rattle snake i guess
i thought they go pssssssshhhh?? did i adjust it wrong ?

maybe you adjusted it too much? try backtracking just a little bit and dont adjust it so much.

Place your hand over the hole that releases the charged air on the BOV and feel if air is leaking from it and adjust the tensioner accordingly, make sure u adjust it for proformance and not sound! Also make sure u have no vacuum leaks anywhere, that will cause the bov not to open properly and equal surge which is a bad thing. For me i found that the type s didnt work well under low boost applications.

sounds like you maybe getting a little compressor surge, so i would back it out a little like james said... how much are u boosting BTW???

ok ill try to adjust it again. and im running 6lbs well i think thats what it is if my boost gauge is right

yes loosen the bov a little more, that "rattle snake" noise is compressor surge
