Damn Check engine light!
Guys, I need your help!!! My check engine light came on about two months ago...I took it to my friend, he hooked it up to a computer and told me my obd-II is throwing a primary o2 sensor code...I went to Auto Zone and bought a universal Bosch o2 sensor and hooked it up just as the instructions said...We then cleared the code using the computer. I started my car and the check engine light was off!!! About 2 hours later when I started the car again...the light was back on! I hooked it back up to the computer and it is throwing the primary sensor code again...I figure maybe there is something wrong with the sensor so I took it back and they gave me another one, but after installing it, the same scenario happened!!! Is there anyway to bypass the o2 sensor and if so, how? If not, who should I take this problem to! I thought Hondaland, but I did not want to pay an arm and a leg!!! Any help or advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

It is plugged in...checked that first...did all the troubleshooting, but now I am thinking it is a wiring problem...Has anyone heard of the wiring going bad??? BTW: the code it threw is code #1, am I wrong, is it not the primary sensor???

I know, I know!!! I knew I would get flamed for not going w/ OEM!!! Hey, an OEM honda sensor runs for close to $250.00, and the universal is only $60.00!!! I guess I got what I paid for huh!!!

While I am asking about the primary o2 sensor problem, I thought I would just throw out another question! I recently purchased a high-flow cat and the bung hole for the secondary o2 sensor was relocated from the original location near the rear of the cat to the front of the cat!!! I was not able to extend the wires so that I would not risk damaging the secondary sensor. I plugged the hole and got resistors so that the computer would be fooled...I have had the cat for about 2 weeks...checked the error code again yesterday and it is still not throwing a secondary o2 sensor code... I guess I am worried that it may throw a code 67 (bad cat)...Should I have the new hole welded and have a new hole drilled??
