What's the Problem?
my b16a got fucked up. dont ask. but it was boggin down and not makin much power so i parked it for the night and the next morning, it barely started and died alot. took off the valve cover, and theres oil in a couple of the plug holes, not alot, but its there. i get it out and put the valve cover back on. now it doesnt start at all. took out the plugs and theyre black wet with oil. cleaned them off and put them back in and tried to start it. repeated that about 2 times and there was oil still. there also is a oil leak coming from here
right in the middle of the pic; where the head and block come together on the bottom right corner. what could be wrong with this thing? never over-revved or mistreated it or anything so what could be the matter here? any advice would help alot. thx.
yeah over filling your oil can blow out a bunch of seals. My advice would be to clean your engine really well and then run the engine and look for where the oil is coming from. If you can't see it that way clean the engine again and let it dry. Throw baby powder on the engine in any areas that you think may be leaking or where oil is accumulating. The baby powder will stick and make a mess but as you drive and the oil leaks it will leave a very clear path through the baby powder and you will be able to see where it is coming from.

Your going to blindly change the headgasket with out knowing it's the problem?
Run a compression test at the LEAST and see if any of your cyls are way off. If two adjacent ones are low, your headgasket is likely bad.
This is not a definate way to tell however, cause the headgasket could be bad and the compression test not show.
Also a good way to tell is buying block tester from an autoparts store, test the coolant for any carbon, and it should let you know.
Don't spend 4+ hours out of your day and 50-60 bucks on gaskets for a hunch.
