I believe you will need a 10mm socket and wrench, a fla head screwdriver and a feeler gauge, it is a very simple task. Paying someone to do this is a waste.

Actually you need a special tool so that when you turn the locknut the screw does not turn over. The special tool can be bought from Honda for abnout $40 or can be made if you have access to a welder. If you do it without the special tool you have to leave ithe clearance loose and tighten ithe locknut down and hopefully bring the clearance to spec, this way it could take a long time having to redo and recheck everything till it works out. If you do it wrong and leave them too tight the valves will be stuck open and you won't have any compression. If they are too loose then they make noise and you are back where you started. On a prelude it is a little tricky doing the intake sides of cylinders 3 and 4 because of the way the motor tilts.

i didn't have said tool, it was mostly trial and error, but it didn't take very long at all. It's not hard enough to pay someone to do it in my opinion. Not to like deter any of your business, i am just trying to help the kid.

I do it w/o the use of a tool. It's quite simple. Use the book. It will explain.
HOWEVER, KJ is an excellent Honda mechanic. If you have doubts, PLEASE take this to him, he will be MORE then happy to show you how it's done with the PROPER tools.
Please take it to KJ or SS (see sig.)

I was quoted $150 from SS to do this a few months ago, not sure what KJ would charge. I just ended up doing it myself...
