Does anyone have any other ideas what to check on a code nine on b16A in a 88si crx. Just rewired the engine harness. hooked up vtec wires. All wiring is done correctly It has a ls Dis. we swap distributors from a b16 with a b16 distributor works fine. but still code nine. And if the motor is throwing a code with vtec engage? Its hooked up on a switch for now. Its a auto ecu but we swaped a 5spd ecu still the same code. Is there anything else to check or do?

 

So it has the same code on different distributors? Try switching the grn/yel with the grn/blu wire on the distributor plug engine harness side. Check for continuity from those wires to their spots at the ecu.

Blu/grn to c1
Blu/yel to c2
Those two pinouts are off the top of my head but I think they are right, check in a manual.

 

that might just work, I'll let you know. Or maybe tommorw I can come by the shop and have you look at it and pick up a tps.

 

I won't be around the shop tomorrow, going to Spring Hill to work on some stuff.

 

You think Friday would be a good day to stop at your shop. I know I keep tryiing to get up there but Friday I have nothing going on. So iam postive I can stop up there.

 

I still need the tps sensor.
