Default B-series rods n pistons in SOHC?

Can you use B series rods and pistons in a SOHC 1.5L honda motor?Also anyone ever done it before and benefits and losses with that setup? thanks

ls rods can be machined inexpensively to fit. if you're going for all oem, go a6 pistons for high comp, something like y7 for lower.

Hell no you cant use bseries pistons in a dseries the piston on a bseries is as big as the FULL sleeve on a dBLOCK

Yeah the 90 plus ls rods can be used but the small end needs to be rebushed to 17 or 19mm, whatever most d series wrist pins are. When they are rebushed they are no longer press fit and you need to run either stock honda pistons with retaining clips cut into them and possibly shortened wrist pins or you need to run aftermarket forged pistons with the retaining clip grooves already in them. The block will also need to be notched but anyone who is good with a dremel can do it. Most d-series blocks need to be notched anyways when using aftermarket forger rods also.
89 ls rods will fit straight up with no extra machining but they are not quite as strong as the 90+ b series ls rods.
