well the new tranny i have is all hooked up right...al wires etc. would the reverse light switch from my sohc tranny work in my DOHC tranny?? cause i don't have any reverse lights...

also...if your shift linkage is bent on the end...would that make it hard to get into like 2nd gear or maybe make the gears grind? the shift linkage i got was bent up on the end and i am having problems getting it into 2nd and sometimes 3rd...could this be from the clutch not grabbing cause its still new?? or shift linkage...

 

Lights and electronics like that are a simple normally open circuit...Use what you have and it should work...

A bent shift rod is never good and will need to be straightened out or replaced...It needs to be the correct length and alignment to function properly...

thanks man...i got a tranny and the guy swears its god. i think maybe it has to do with the shift linkage....its only the end..but its facing a different way now.
