Default Serious ignition problems

A few days ago my negative coil wire for an msd coil got broken off and my car came to a die, I hooked the wire back up and the car fired a few cylinders but then died and never started, I changed the ignitor and tested the coil, everthing was good. Next I hooked up one of my friends stock distributor and the car ran fine at idel, I never test drove it. The next day I bought a distributor from a junkyard and the car ran fne but misifred between 2-3 thousand rpm's well the mis fire got worse and worse, until the point were the car would not drive down the street. Now it is so bad its backfireing through the intake manifold and smells like raw gas.I could really use any help. TIA. Oh yeah the set up is an obd0 z6 swap.

This morning I changed the plugs, they were pretty black, maybe they were fouled. After I put the new plugs in I drove a mile or two to get gas and make sure the car was gonna stay running. Once I left the gas station it mised a few times and died, and would not crank back up and once again I was getting no spark. It seems like everything is ok until the car gets warmed up for a few mintues. Im have no clue what could be the problem, I guess im gonna have to try a 3rd distributor. Could it be my alternator? My volts seem like they fluctuate alot, but I have not had any problems with my battery dieing.

Well after a whole day of checking every last square inch of my car I figured I would change the coil as a last restort, well it runs now, but im not a 100% sure if I trust it yet. I think its things like this that drive people crazy and make them not wanna work on cars anyore.
