suspension Q
ok so i have a 92 eg, i'm going to order some struts and i wanted some opinions on what people think is best by trying them. i was looking at some kyb agx's but what else is a good idea? i'm looking for something thast pretty stiff in the turns. i would also like to run coilovers. any help would be great.
thanks

tokiko blues. for the coilovers don't get the cheapshift half the time they strip out and u can't adjust them anymore. best i've seen for inexpensive coilovers is skunk2's, but personally i like springs, u many want to think about neuspeed race springs that's what i ran in my crx and it rode really good, smooth, looked nice (not dropped to uselessness)

if your gunna be changhing out rims/tires alot for diff looks id say coilovers all the way, also coilvers if you are very picky about ride height. DONT GET GENERIC COILVERS.
i would suggest ground controls made by eibach
if not skunk2 just as good but harder to adjust
this is the main factor here.
more than likely with springs/coilvers you not gunna be able to notice a differance so if ur not into changing rims and not picky about ride height then get springs they are cheaper.
also after having several differant shocks i would say STRAY from tokico blues they are not worth the money.
either stay with GOOD shape stock shocks or get adjustble koni or tokico illuminas(i prefere the koni a little over tokicos)
if u get tokico blues they ride great on smooth pavement but any bumps and ur head is gunna hit the roof
adjustbles ride a shit load nicer and U WILL NOTICE NIGHT AT DAY DIFFERANCE. they dont cost 2-3 times are much for no reason
good ride on bdget = drop springs/good stok shocks
want to ride out nice- groundcontrols on some kinda adjustable shock but this can be almost 800$
did someone say koni blues?
i thought koni made red and yellow
do they make a blue as well?

yes i think someone said koni blues. lol yeah man either get the tokiko illuminas or some kind of koni. someone i knew had the same car as me and he had tokiko blues and i had just got new gs-r socks and it rode aboot the same. but i did have ground controls.
tokiko blues- around 70bucks a piece
koni fully adjustable-around 500 for the set
ground controls-300 for the set
skunk2 coilovers-less than ground controls

why does everyone talk shit about cheaper coilovers? i have aerospeed coilovers on my car and they ride just as good as the cars ive ridden in with skunk2's and ground controls. and i will tell you one thing they ride a HELL of alot better than the weapon r coilovers i used to have.
i used to have sprint springs on my car and they freakin rode like shit. they were mushy as hell and they just sucked.

cheap coilvers = stripped adjustment thing and also they dont do jack shit for research they pretty much have one universal spring for most setups.
so it is INSANE to say aerospeed coilovers ride just as good as skunk2/ground control.
you think the shit loads of ppl who bought them spend 2-3 times as much on them for no reason?
