What is this on this intake manifold?? it came froma 98 LS motor auto...is the intake manifold different from a 5 speed?

Isn't that the intake manifold? If so... could it be the MAP sensor?

it's on the manuals too 99-00 si's have them too i know. they connect to the evaporator canister thingy (like my technical terms!) against the firewall. it uses a vacuum lead, and has a sensor that plugs in too. there was no where to plug it to on my skunk2 manifold, so i just left it unplugged. no code thrown, and i haven't noticed any difference, so i didn't really pay too much attention to it.

where does it connect to though?? i noticed on a abd1 wiring harness its not on the harness?
