i have a b20vtec in my crx. you're gonna have to ditch the b20's intake manifold at the very least because it'll stand up too high. they were makin jokes about it when they were buildin my motor sayin it would look like a blower poppin outta the hood. mine puts 164 and 142 to the wheels with a stock b20 block and stock b16 head.
h22

h22's in crx's are dumb. they weigh so little if u want a 2.2 just stroke a b20. my b20 has more than enough torque for a crx. puts like 130 lb-ft to the wheels from 3000 rpm all the way to 8. in a 2100lb car (ungutted) u dont need that much torque.

An H22a in a CRX is an incredibly painful swap. KJ has told me about these, and I think it's one of his least favorite swaps.
HOWEVER, when done correctly..... this is a KILLER setup.
Usually an EF hatch would be lighter though.
Regarding a B20, with out iron sleeves a B20 is a dangerous motor to risk trying to make power out of. They have a tendency to have weaker sleeves then any other block I know of. They crack frequently when any decent power is made out of them.
I don't think Ive seen a dyno sheet in which a b20 has held it's torque to 8k rpm, especially with out built internals. I'd love to see your dyno sheet if you could.

Shit if i had the money and the time, i would throw and H22 in my rex. Now that i have decided to go with an S13 mine is staying pretty much like it is.

its running on a b16 ecu so the rpms really go to 8 and not 7. this is completely stock with just i/h/e and no further tuning.
