major oil leak near cam gear???
just install brand new R motor and i have a major oil leak near the cam gears. car runs perfect but major oil leakage near the cam gears i check everything and can not source out my problem. anybody have any thoughts on what it could be? new cam seals new valve cover gasket everything is new used liquid gasket were it was called out for in the manual...the install has went perfect until this! what gives?

yeah its a cam seal bro, they can be found individually at autozone for a few bucks, but you gotta take off the timing belt(ouch) i had the same problem

i just changed my SOHC cam seal and no more major oil leaks. any others will be 86'd by the swap. things slip out of place no matter how careful you are.

Just get them from Honda. Also check to make sure the rocker arm shaft hex plugs behind the cam gears are tightened up. I just installed a head on a car that came from the machine shop and forgot to check those and it had a leak.
