1999 Acura LS Swap Help!!
I've been reading about diffrent kinds of swaps i could put into my car. It's a 94 Honda Civic EX/SI. Well i'm thinking of going to buy a 1999 Acura LS Motor to put into the car.
I guess my question is for anyone who has done this or knows alot about this swap.... As far as i see all i need is the complete motor, axles, rear mount, The front crash mounts, Shift linkage,
Wiring harness and an ECU from a 94-95 Acura LS. will all this work and will it plug up?
or should i go and buy the wiring harness to convert my OBD1 to The OBd2 and use a newer ECU..
The reason im under the influence this will work is because, when i went to go see the motor and had the guy start the car for me. The 99 ECU was missing so he grabbed one off a 94-95 Manual LS..
By the way i'm buying the motor as a long block with some extra parts included.. It has a Auto tranny on it now, But im going to buy a 98 Ls manual, Clutch Kit, and 94-95 Ls shift linkage. Should this all work fine or is a stupid thing to do and would it work????
I'm not looking for negative feedback from this so save it.
I just need some help.

First off never run an obd2 ecu if you don't have to, you don't have to so don't even consider it. Will the motor come with a engine harness? Even if is obd2 it will plug right up to the 94 civic harness. If you don't get the harness you can use your stock civic harness. You will need to rewire the alternator plug, distributor plugs, and injectors. There will be an extra sensor on the motor by the crank pulley that won't match anything on the 94 civic harness and can be disregarded. You can put the stock civic injectors in the 99 motor so you won't have to rewire, they also flow the same, 240cc's. The alternator is fairly straightforward: both style plugs have a blk/yel wire, orient them in the same relative position as each other and just match the other wires up with each other, both plugs will also have a wht/blu wire in the same relative position. Distribuutor can be a little tricky depending on the year. I usually figure them out in front of me so I don't want to give you bad instructions on that.
Sounds like you have all the mounts and everything figured out.
