D16's usually put down better torque numbers than the B swap. This partially has to do with the long stroke, which is bad for someone going N/A and wanting high revs. All in all, a stock D series is actually better fit for boost than a B series. A D16Y8 has a HIGHER lift cam with LESS overlap and lower compression than a B16 or B18.

You haven't seen many numbers for turbo d-series then. There are at least 20+ members on Honda-Tech making over 300whp with turbo D's. In fact, boosteded9, made 302whp on a STOCK D16 block.

Yep, I know Jan personally. And you're right it was stock block, but the head was worked to hell. Oh, and it blew up.... Mine still works, well.

I think it was running fine with the 302WHP until he upped the boost more. Didn't it spin a bearing or something?

Very nice numbers.There are alot of people making great numbers on stock internals.What happens when you have to race someone and stay under boost for extended time.Like over the bridge.I think we are going to see a rod or two come right through the block.You put it down now we will see how long it lasts.Great job with the numbers keep it up!
