Car wont start fuel/electrical problems???
Well today i was trying to wire in a fuel pump kill switch through a relay. So when i got it all hooked up it did not work the pump was not cutting off when the switch was hit. So i said fuck it and was going to hook the pump back up and get some eletrican to do this shit. When i hooked it up the fuel pump did not turn on and it just cranked but no start. So i went to the yard and pulled a fuel pump installed it but it did not work. Still no sound of the pump. What could be wrong the main relay? or What
Thanks for the help

heres the deal. remove the switch. put everything back to stock. take your fuel pump and just hook it up to your car battery for a second to ensure its still good. now. make sure everything is back to stock. turn the car on. does the pump come on? if so, lets get to work.
take the ground wire that the pump and put a toggle switch in that. a toggle switch is an open/close switch. if you open the curcuit in the ground, the pump is no longer grounded and hence wont work. when you close the curcuit, the pump will work and you wont burn up the switch with amperage. its just that easy.

Volt Meter time....
Make sure that the 'hack job' you did didnt mess up the power source...
If you DO have voltage then you need to verify that the ground is connected properly.
Turn the key and whalla... it should now work...

What ground? Everything appears to be fine. The only piece not responding to the volt meter was the Main Relay, but we changed that by switching the one from my car, and it still did not work. He thinks it might have fried the ECU, is this possible? I think something is grounding out, or somewhere in the 'hack job' of wiring on his motor swap, a wire got disconnected. Who wants to help? I am a electrical retard. Shit, I just got a good mental image of that. LOL
