Default Another b20 vtec question

okay, i just ordered a b20 from a japanese motor take out companie and its going to be here in a couple of days, im putting my gsr head on it. know my question is that im having the crank rods and pistons balanced out and i need to know if this will ease the cylinder wear and i need to know what you think a reasonable compression would be for a decent amount of go yet i need this for a daily driver. Also i need to know more about the pcv setup i have to run.And my car has always ran rich as hell since i got it, the fact that it has a chipped p28, could it be possible that it had been programed to run to rich?Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Buy a set of .137" longer eagle rods and a set of pistons with the wrist pin moved up .137". This will raise the r/s ratio to 1.58:1 same as a gsr. The sleeve strength on a given block seems to be random but this helps a bit. A light and balanced piston won't hurt either. Wiseco makes the pistons with the pin moved up .137", several companies like Endyn or IB sell their versions of these.

They are good for all-motor, some people have bad luck with the sleeves being brittle and cracking but that is the same for turbo or all motor. Personally I'd find a cheap ls block and sleeve that but sleeved blocks sometimes have problems of their own.
