Default prob with 92 cx hatch

why doesnt my car rev past 5,000 and every morning or everytime my car sits for a few hours it is a pain in the ass to start... thought it was the fuel pump replaced it but its still doing it.... any idea? thanks

what happens when you try to rev past 5g? Any detonation? Does it stall?....need more info...

Yeah, more info is needed...Your car not starting can be something as simple as poor spark...

Sounds like its related to the distributor if you can't rev past 5000rpm...All Honda Motors rev past 5000rpm even the 1.5liter CX...

when the motor comes up on 5g it sounds like its rev limiter it will just bounce off it... it doesnt stall... not quite sure how to check detonation but the spark plugs are all good. now when i let my car sit for a long time the engine turns but wont start i turn my key to on but i dont try to start it the check engine light comes on and sometimes it stays on for 5 sec and some times 5 min and as soon as it turns off the car starts fine... my friend says something about a fuel pump relay idk... any help appreciated thanks
