Default turbo oil pressure problem need help fast!

okay i have a turbo on my civic right and i heard that 15-w50 is a good oil for turbo hondas. so i did the change parked it, go to drive it tonight and the oil light flickers on and off.

so i change the sending unit, change oil back to 5-w30, and it doesnt come on at an idle or when im driving.

but if i just barely give it a slight pop on the throttle(SAFC says like 2%) real quick, the rpms drop to like 600, and the oil light blinks but goes back off when the rpms go back to normal idle.

is this just like an almost stalling thing, and the oil pressure just gets low at that rpm??

what is normal idle oil psi? my book says 10@idle 50@3000??

i hooked up a gauge and @ idle i make 16psi.

when i pop the gas its just barely like an 1/8 of an inch, is my car just going thru stalling procedures or am i screwed, the motor only has like 2000 miles since it was built up.

it never comes on at any time, i have no noise from my motor other than normal.

HELP PLEASE

Man, you may have the beginning of problems...After you car is warmed up or actually after 1 second since its started, your oil pressure should be normal...I would pull the motor now and look for bearing problems, check out your oilpump and check out the oilpickup...There seems to be clogging somewhere and the thicker oil just couldn't get thru it as easy as the thinner oil, hence the oil light coming on more frequently with the 50weight...

I have a turbo hatch and the same thing happens to me. I am at about 800RPM at idle and when my car drops below that and almost stalls I see the Oil light flicker for a sec. You should be fine, as long as you have at least 10psi for every 1000RPM.

Just check the obvious things like oil level and make sure your pan is not dented at all. If you are really concerned, you can get your oil analyzed..

I'm running 15w50 Mobil 1 with no problems.

well i did another change and am using 5-30, like it says, i hooke my gauge up again and at my idle (730-800) i have about 13psi, when i rev it up it goes up like it normally shoule, i revved to like 3500 and i got about 40psi out of it. could it just be that my idle is so low that it is triggering a low oil light, because when it stumbles(550-600) its almost like a stall out. if i drive for a while and go to push in the clutch it will drop and dip kinda low and the light will come on and then right off. if my car were to keep a constant 900 rom, i dont think i would have this problem.

my BOV stays 1/2 way open due to a bad diaphragm, could this cause a dip in my idle? ill have a new one in an hour

Don't say things like this without backing it up with some Facts about why he shouldn't use MOBIL1 15w50 on his High Revving Turbo Honda Motor...
