TECH: some gear ratio questions answered

the gsr and b16 trannies are identical except that the gsr 3rd gear is slightly longer than the b16

for 1/4 mile race ls tranny is the best way to go
for a curcuit race a gsr tranny is the way to go cause you can harness a good amount of power in third gear in tuff turns

your crazy homie , you cant say what tranny is the best....it depends on teh setup.....BTW this thread is over 2 years old...look at the date on stuff before you post.

well lets reopen the pages... i plan on boosting my ls/vtec in the near future and i have a b16 tranny as of right now... where could i get internals from and what gears from other trannies would be optimal... dig racing over highway pulls
