Default Gsr Ecu

You think I can put a GSR ECU in my '99 Si (B16A2)? Two weeks ago I ran a CRX with a B16 swap(that's what the guy told me, but it was incredibly slow). We were bumper to bumper until his VTEC kicked in earlier than mine. Then mine kicked in (5600RPMS) and I felt like I was pulling pretty hard on him. After we ran two times, he told me he installed a GSR ECU (don't know year) and it engages at 4800 RPMs (I think).
I don't think it was B16 swap (pretty sure it was sohc vtec), unless i was spraying my invisible 100 shot or he is a shitty driver. Peace.

If you really want to engage VTEC that low, just get a VAFC and reap the additional benifits of it.

If I am not mistaken, it also has provisions for making the butterflies in the GSR intake open. It might go apeshit if it doesn't see that happening. If you really want it, I have a RPM activated switch with pills (MSD thingie) you can buy off of me for 40 bucks. Wire that sucker in there.

Maybe you should eat some cafiteria food and save up. I always say that you should do it once and do it right or not do it at all.

stupid idea. the gs-r i/m has dual set of butterflys. one opens up at 4400rpm and the second at 6000rpm. so unless you get a chipped gs-r ecu then theres no point. just get the obd2-1 harness made and chip a p28. it will dump fuel and make you happier. and it will change your vtec crossover point. sometimes if you go to the right person they can set your vtec at whatever you want like custom sort of. but to simply answer your question no it won't benifit you. good luck.

yeah your right but the partially open one opens fully at 4400 then the next one at 5800 or 6000 or some shit. but anyone who has a gs-r knows that something happens at 6k. or around there.

Alright guys thanks a lot for your answers. My boy Larry can wire the switch for me. I hope it's gonna work-all I need to do is flip that switch and I'm in vtec. It might also help me in autocross (even though you try stay in vtec, some corners are too tight and there's no time or chance to downshift). Thanks a lot everyone.

P.S. That CRX ran like shit. It says 3200 VTEC on it's window. I guess he's selling it. Oh yea, it's white.
