Unless you are making more than 500whp a correctly running Honda ignition system is more than sufficient.
I was told the same before...Thats why I am not going to run msd....

Key phrase: correctly running.

Odds are, if you are having trouble with the spark in your car, you should fix the issues first. A set of plugs, plug wires, cap/rotor, ignitor and main relay are all key elements on the "new parts list" that every owner of an elderly Honda should address first. While some cars may need a MSD box to function correctly, most Hondas won't require it. The absolute MOST I would do is an external coil conversion if your internal coil is shot. Personally, I would even try to avoid that and use it as a last resort. Why have more clutter and wires running through your engine compartment too?
