Default Crower Valvesprings and Titanium Retainers Review

Ok now, Heres the hype. I just purchased a set of Crower Dual Valvesprings and Crower titanium retainers for my b16 head. Now from what I hear, they are supposed to be the worst thing in the world. From what I understood, Crower made excellent products (rods, stroker kits, valvetrain) I cant speak for their cams but I have heard good reviews and bad reviews about them. All im trying to findout is did I choose the right valvetrain or am I just being mocked for something for the hell of it.

so is it the valvesprings or retainers that make this kit bad? i am using type r cams in this setup so i dont know if that will play any difference.

I think their springs are too stiff and the retainer is too thin. Maybe the crower springs with TiN coated portflow retainers would be good.

Another vote for Skunk 2.

Or if you are running CTR or ITR cams, factory ITR valvesprings/retainers will work just fine with OEM reliability.

Why risk it with a company that has a track record of returning numerous motors to kit form??? Crower BAD!

so know one else with other retainers brakes shit? give them a damn break. 99% of the time its the own ppl who use the wrong springs with the wrong cams.

maybe keepers are popping off u never know wtf is going on inside

No problems, yet.

Never heard of a failure with Skunk 2 or OEM shit thus far unless you count broken carnage to the valvetrain caused by a broken timing belt. Really can't blame that on anything but the belt breaking/coming off. Search the internet far and wide...I am sure you will come up with some tall tales to satisfy your point of view.
