Blew up the B16 tonight. . .
Basically i was on it and the car backfired (sorta) and the engine wouldn't start back up had to push it home, still cranks though, but just pops, backfires, whatever. Have a few theories timing belt came off timing blew a seal, shit like that. Anyways like i said it's all theory and i had planned on tearing it apart if anyone is in the brandon are and more mechanically inclined than i sound i could use some help. Thanks ahead.

had a similar problem with the popping sound. check all the simple things first, my problem was spark plug that went bad so swap yours out and see if that solves your problem.

Yeah, if the car still turns over I would check the ignition system.
My car was doing the same thing..backfire/pop wouldn't startup.
It ended up being the dist. Like IAN stated, check the simple things first.

Check the timing, check compression, check for spark, check for gas...in no particular order....
