Honda Accord Needs Help
My Friend has a 1998 2 door Honda Accord (vtec). So far he's added an Intake and an exhaust. But now he's looking to add a big boost of power to his car. We've thought about adding a turbo to it but we'd rather stick N/A. Maybe a new intake manifold could be in the mix. What would be some good modfications to add to a car like this. Keep in mind that this is an automatic and he's trying to keep it that way. He's looking to whoop some of us stick pushers. Thanks for your help fellas.
to be honest there is not much aftermarket support for that motor...if you want to make good power go with nos or do an h22 swap....but if you dont want to go those routes then i would suggest a gude cam (only company that makes 1 for the f22/3)and try to get some higher compresion pistons...i have not heard of anyone making an intake mani for that (f23) motor..but good luck in finding one
i had that same motor...i turboed it and it lasted like 2 weeks..so i would say stay away from the turbo unless you intend to fully build it and run some kind of fuel management

exahust..... only two i would touch!!
apexi N1 or hks dragger
intake is aem only
cams are a personal pref
supen is the key!! its all in the launch for the WWD cars
i ran a 15.6 in a car that barely put over 100whp down
only simply because my launch fucking rocked! 1.98
consecttivy (sp?)
go to the track and improve on your mistakes and then add bigger mods that add great amounts of power
alot of people dont like it but i have no problem if its done right
a nice 50-75 gradual shot
nnow imo accords are too heavy but theres the dude with the CL doin 13s so to each their own

Hondata is also a good thing.

Hondata does not have an application for an accord ECU, he would need to use like a P28. I am not sure however if there is anything weird about the motor that the p28 wouldn't be able to control.
