I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

i have 218,000 miles on the body. the stock engine when i got the car was at 193,000. and from what i hear, its still running good for the guy i sold it too. u can't kill a honda until u either rag the shit out of hit, boost to much, or spray (sprays a honda's worst enemy!)

i almost did the same thing. was out on a sat night and another hatch driver told me my car was smokin. went home, checked it out, found an oil leak and practically no oil in the pan. i swear that car amazes me. i poured some stop leak in there because i am building a new engine. the engine is holding the oil.

but after hitting 200k i am checking the timing belt and changing it if it needs it. i am still looking at a couple of months to come up with the $$ to complete the rebuild.

my car is still on the orig tranny and only one clutch change. he loves me! cuz i know there are times when i've driven him way to hard.
