Default ITR rods, CTR pistons, B17

If a b17 has the same deck height as a b16, has anyone ever used ITR rods in a b16, I have .25over CTR pistons, Im wondering if its gonna hit and if not will compression be to high? Using an ITR complete head. Thanks

i dont think you can use itr rods in a b17, i thought they were a unique rotating assembly of thier own

you cant use the 1.8 itr rods in the 1.7 si block. it is the same height as the b16a and the same bore as all the b series blocks except for the crv but the key difference is the 81.4mm stroke as to 87.2 gsr/itr blocks. The rods would be too long for that block. You could howerver sleeve and overbore the piston size and make it a 1.8

Thats what i thought i didnt know the exact mesurements, but i thought the strokes were different. I am having the block bored for the .25 oversized CTR pistons, so it will be a 1.8 do you think that will help alot. Also anyone want to buy ITR rods, Cheap Quick. I'll be posting them for sale. Thanks for the help.

ITR rods won't work period. CTR pistons on the b17a rods will work. To get an estimate on the compression use the c-speed calculator and add about .3-.4 points to the compression (their numbers for ctr pistons are a bit low).

OEM oversized pistons are only .25mm bigger. This isn't much at all and displacement isn't effected a noticeable degree.
