Talking Knife Civic (lol)

Can't wait to get my hands on my new project. I'm going to start it as soon as I sell my '99 Si.
Ok, here it is.
'92-'95 Civic HB shell. Repaint the entire thing yellow (that JDM yellow ). Then rip the interior out, replace the front seats with some aftermarket ones. I ride by myself most of the time, so I won't need the rear seats. Outside I'd add c/f hood, c/f front lip and c/f rear spoiler (all replicas of Spoon). For rims I'd put 15 inch Rota SS in flat black. Tuck that bitch on it's nuts, and we're ready to go. I was thinking about power source for a long time and and finally decided to put JDM H22A. I've had a '95 Prelude before (RIP) with USDM H22A and that thing was great. Torquey and powerful. More than enough for that light ass hatch.
Bad side. If I swap H22A, I won't be able to have either a/c or power steering.
Good side. Low twelves with a stock engine on street tires. Works for me.

I'm going to update this as often as I can, so stay tuned.

P.S. What do you think about this project? Opinions are welcomed.
I'm SOOO excited

Yes, I will need as much help as I can get, thanks for your offer. I've never seen anybody in person who have done this swap.

P.S. Well, what's so tech about Civic/CRX/Acura/Prelude meets?lol.

I've heard it's this saturday at the park...where exactly is it at? Also, what time?

Yea, it won't be easy. My boy is a certified mechanic and he does stuff like this on the side. He's currently swapping LS into '92-'95 (I don't know exactly what year) Civic coupe from Team Slow (it's lime green). He knows what he's doing so I trust him. Besides, he doesn't want much for doing it.

$300-$400 depending on how well it goes.

$300-$400 depending on how well it goes. I've been told that shop charge about 1K. I'm definitely going to research a little more before I do it, but I think I'm going to end up paying him for the swap.

Yes, I will definitely talk to them.
From what I've seen he does do pretty clean swaps. He does know what he's doing (well, at least it looks like it to me). I've never seen anybody else doing the swap in their garage, so I can't really comparehim to others.I honestly don't know if he's done it before. If you said those guys were good and they want 500 I'd talk to them. Just like anyone else I just want a clean swap, no matter how much it's going to be. But thanks for your reference Keith, it's been really nice talking to you man.
