Default My Civic Has Issues

1st, it wont redline. it hits 6250 then cuts off. i just changed the feul pmup as well. then im not 100% sure if my fan (THANX CRONIC) ever comes on. then my speedomer doesnt work, oh yea my back passanger door wont open and im a little irratated. can you Beautiful people here at TR help me. thanx. oh yea its a freshly rebuilt obd-0 ls motor in a 1990 civic dx

rpms were at 6 before the fuel pump. and the fan is just retarded i dont know. im gonna buy one today and just replace the bastard. the speedo is ...................blah who fuckin knows

hehe u sound like youre really down on your luck man... check the TPS sensor... replace it... those usuall get pretty busted up when a new motor goes in...

If thefan is not coming on it might be the temp fan switch. You can replace the fan switch or just wire it straight so that when you start the car itll come on. As for the motor not reving all the way it could be a number of things check out the wiring. That should solve many of your problems

Okay here is the 1% i know about a VSS in a 90 civic. The stock gauge cluster, speedo, is cable. The JDM cluster, speedo, is electronic (plugs in). So from my understanding you need to take the VSS off and use your speedo housing that was on your tranny or whatever cable tranny to make things work properly with cable.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

i had to go thru this a couple of weeks ago with my swap. i know george (white jdm type r crx) uses the VSS with his JDM cluster. he is a wire master.
