are they different?? i have a friend that has a Y8 and he roasted a tranny and was wondering if a 92-95 ex-si tranny would work..I thought it would being d series but im not sue about the linkage.

well, jeff pretty much answered your question....

any d-series tranny will bolt up to another d-series motor(ofcorse except for cable to hydro or vice versa). It all depends on what gear ratios you want, and what set up you are planning for the car.
