*** UPDATE ***
Well, good news and bad news.
Whaddaya wanna hear first?
Let's get the bad news out of the way.
The Mercado pulled the rug out from under us yesterday
with a phone call telling me that in order to hold our meet there
we would have to take out a one-day $1 million insurance policy!!!
They gave me every excuse under the sun why we couldn't just
sign the standard Waiver of Liability. I think the manager
is just into American V8s! The reason I say that is because last month
the Orlando Corvette Club had a meet there and didn't have to shell out $500.
I can under stand his concerns with all of the Fast and Furious stuff
going on, but at least he should have spoken to me in person and
heard me out. At the very least spoken with the previous locations
for our meets. We have never had a single problem at our previous
3 meets. Anyway... I will have a new location soon. Same dates, new location.
Ok, the good news. I have worked out a deal with the new Radisson
Barcelo on International Drive.
Double occupancy, big rooms w/ fridge for $69 a night
which is a good rate for this part of town.

Rooms are first come first serve so call soon!

Cant wait for this event havent had the crx on the road for 2 years. Hopefully I can get it in the booth this week or next so that I can put a fresh coat of berylium copper on it. lloks like this

man ken that is just wrong. corvette's are usually older owner's so you are prob right on the hotel's thinking.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

alright someone's gotta throw out the officail list of meeting places, after going threw the thread there were too many places just thrown out there. so whoevers organizing the meeting spots just post the official meeting places and times. and any hotel reservation info or anything.
