Handyman Special, Turbo b18c1 1994 Del Sol
Blue Del Sol 1994 Civic Del Sol SI
All good things come to an end, and it’s time for me to sell my fun car. This car was put together while i was in college and now that I’m working, married, and trying to start a family it’s no longer a good fit.
The clutch started slipping in January 2012 and while replacing it I decided to replace the transmission (had a slight grind shifting into 3rd while accelerating. Partway through the process i decided it was time to grow up and buy a new car. I never bothered to put it back on the ground afterwards. Front end of the car is currently on jackstands.
I haven’t worked on the car in over a year and a half, so the brake rotors are seriously rusted, but i think all that is needed are some new rotors/pads, re-attach intake and charge pipe refilling all fluids and probably replacing a dead battery. As previously stated, i walked away from this project almost two years ago, so it would be wise to verify everything is connected before driving the car
.
This car was my daily driver and i’ve got roughly 30K miles on this engine. This turbo setup on a previous engine with stock bore dyno’d at around 380HP on pump gas. Mainly i'm just having difficulty making myself work on the car just to get rid of it.
The good:
Hondata S300 ECU (tuned by phearable.net)
1100cc injectors
Golden Eagle sleeved b18c1 block (84.5mm bore)
Turbo manifold and down pipe by LHT Performance
Skunk2 intake manifold.
Precision Turbo (LHT400 with dual ball bearing option)
Fresh Competition Clutch
Rebuilt transmission
ARP Studs
CP pistons
Eagle H-Beam rods
Tein adjustable coil-overs
Rota slipstream 15x7 rims in gunmetal grey.
Straight body
Custom A/C lines.
Seats are good.
The Bad:
Car doesn't/didn't start with key, i had run a wire manually from the starter to the ignition switch and verified it wasn't an issue with the starter.steering column plastic has been removed.
Had a bad Maaco paint job, there’s overspray in areas, and now the paint is scratched.
The interior plastics are missing in the rear of the car. Glovebox is not in place.
Hood slightly bent.
One of the hangers broke off the muffler when i went over a high speed bump.
Car
Putting it up for $2500, as is. I make no claims beyond what is stated in this post like i said i haven't driven the car in a year and a half. I just don't have time or interest to work on this anymore. If you’re interested shoot me a PM or an email at sbusenba@mail.usf.edu. Don't lowball me, even if you didn't want a del sol there are definitely some parts worth this asking price like the ecu/turbo/fully built bottom end. If there isn’t any interest I’ll probably put it back together and try again at a higher price.

Nope. I don't remember what the fix was to that issue(assuming you're referring to my post in april of 2009), but the car was my daily driver from then up until 01/2012. The thread indicates maybe it was a ground issue.
