Concealed Carry map State gun laws You can find it here.
For as long as I can remember, members of the USCCA community have been asking us to produce some sort of concealed carry map.
A few years back, in our ongoing effort to help responsibly armed Americans stay on the right side of the law, we delivered on that request. The original USCCA Reciprocity Map allowed a user to input the particular state in which he or she held a concealed carry permit to see in which other states that permit would allow him or her to carry a concealed firearm.
The map, while well-received, wasn't as user-friendly or informative as we had hoped it would be.
Although, yes, responsibly armed Americans were interested in learning about reciprocity agreements between their home states and others, they were more interested in where they could and could not carry within their home states. They wanted to know what to do with their firearms while traveling and how those firearms were required to be stored. They wanted to know about non-resident permits and preemption laws and constitutional carry.
In other words, they were looking for a much more comprehensive resource than we were providing.
That's why I'm so thrilled to announce that, after months of research and other tireless efforts by our team, the USCCA recently launched a new and exponentially improved Concealed Carry Reciprocity Map & State Gun Laws site.

Compiling all the data for this new resource was a serious undertaking. Folks at the USCCA pored over tens of thousands of lines of state statutes in an effort to compile concise but thorough profiles for each of the 50 states.
The reciprocity map is perhaps the focal point of each state's profile, cross-checking a user's concealed carry permit "compatibility" with other states, but it's only a small part of the vast collection of information found there. Each state features a handy "At a Glance" section, intended to give users a quick overview of that particular state's gun-related laws. The site also contains state-specific information on open carry, knife restrictions and step-by-step concealed carry licensing procedures. Of course, we've also answered some common firearms- and self-defense-related FAQs.
Because the body of statutes governing firearms is constantly evolving, the USCCA employs a dedicated content coordinator, Bonnie Gundrum., who spearheaded the compilation of massive amounts of data and who now keeps up to date on new developments in the world of gun laws. "We've got a marvelous system in place for adding content and updates for all of the states as laws and policies change," Bonnie said.
Indeed, things are moving quickly around here, and I'm excited to report that work has already begun on enhancements for the site.
We pride ourselves on being the good guys, and that means following all applicable gun- and concealed-carry-related laws where we live and travel. The new USCCA Concealed Carry Reciprocity Map & State Gun Laws site, along with the improvements we already have planned, is going to help responsibly armed Americans wade through all of that information. My hope is that it becomes their go-to source for the crucial information they need to carry confidently no matter where they are.
