The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution protects the right of individuals to keep and bear arms.The Supreme Court of the United States has ruled that the right vests in individuals, not merely collective militias, while also ruling that the right is not unlimited and does not prohibit all regulation of either firearms or similar devices. State and local governments are limited to the same extent as the federal government from infringing this right per the incorporation of the Bill of Rights. The Second Amendment was adopted on December 15, 1791, as part of the first ten amendments comprising the Bill of Rights.

Leaked Fundraiser Audio→ Hillary Clinton slammed the Supreme Court as “wrong on the Second Amendment” and called for reinstating the assault weapons ban during a small private fundraiser in New York last week, according to audio of her remarks obtained by the Washington Free Beacon. While Clinton has previously supported an assault weapons ban, this is the first time since launching her campaign that she indicated that she would take on the Supreme Court over gun issues.

During the June 5 airing of This Week with George Stephanopoulos, Hillary Clinton outlined her plan to abolish the Second Amendment. Hillary Clinton first disavowed that she is seeking to abolish the Second Amendment then went on to list five Second Amendment-crippling gun controls she plans to implement if elected in November.

Clinton said: I’m going to continue to speak out for comprehensive background checks, closing the so called “gun show loophole,” closing the so called “online loophole,” closing the so called “Charleston loophole,” reversing the bill that Senator Sanders voted for and I voted against, giving immunity from liability to gun makers and sellers.

The crippling effect of these gun controls is already evidenced in states like California, where comprehensive background checks — i.e., universal background checks — have been paired with gun registration and even confiscation laws. The latest California gun control to emerge from universal background checks is the push to implement background checks for ammunition purchasers — and Clinton supports the ammunition background checks. Her push to reverse the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) is all about enabling crime victims to sue gun makers and gun sellers for crimes committed with lawfully made and lawfully purchased firearms. After the Oregon school shooting last week, Mrs. Clinton said that, if elected president, she will pursue her gun control agenda with or without legislative support. Mrs. Clinton argued that background checks on all sales, including gun shows, will help keep guns away from criminals and the mentally ill. Try to tighten some of these checks, particularly you know, to get more more of the background checks done on more of the sales at gun shows and online than we currently have. And we know where we enforce that kind of check, we do keep guns out of the hands of people. But how will that work? That’s a question nobody can answer because it’s so complicated. Way to go, Granny Pantsuit. In America, politicians are quick to overreact when freak tragedies happen. Even MSNBC’s Morning Joe agrees. I think it is an extraordinarily complicated issue, and I think one of the greatest dangers is that we do what we always do in Washington and across the country. We have a knee-jerk reaction to a tragedy that doesn’t apply to the tragedy and doesn’t stop the next tragedy and actually causes more problems. More gun control and gun free zones just don’t work. The Charleston, S.C. church shooting, the Sandy Hook school shooting, Aurora movie theater shooting and the recent Oregon school shooting all happened in gun free zones.
