Question About Using Gas As Fuel ?
IM IN COLOMBIA RIGHT NOW VISITING, AND I SEE THAT THEY USE DIESEL AND GAS IN MOST VEHICLES. why cant we use gas in united states ? all taxi´s here have their tank of gas, i know it sound dangerous but its a good alternative here is some pics

By "gas", I assume you mean compressed natural gas, or propane, not "gasoline".
The quick answer is that you CAN convert your car in the US to run on LP gas. Google it.
It's not "mainstream" because people like the convenience of getting gasoline (or diesel) at any ol' corner gas station. If you go LP, you've got to go to an LP filling station, which is not nearly as convenient. In the US, it's more suited to fleet vehicles, where the fleet owner can maintain their own LP filling station.

yeah i meant natural gas, they have filling stations all over this country, i think its a good alternative because gas its around 4.50 a gallon here(colombia)and natural gas its like .50cents cubic meters not sure how they measure it
