Fuel light started blinking on the way home, time to end this madness! (next tank will include an autocross, time to have some fun)

Car Type : 2007 Toyota Yaris Liftback
Miles on Car : 15k
Gallons : 9.598
Miles : 403.2 (adjusted for tire size = 399.2)
MPG : 42.01 mpg (adjusted = 41.59)

FWIW, the Scangauge read an average of 42.3 for the tank... pretty close.

Couldn't imagine having to do this out of my own pocket...
It's a work truck with a heavy Reading type topper on it with a 50 gallon power sprayer in it, usually try to keep the water tank empty, I run most of NW arkansas's country assed highways mostly steep and twisted, but almost no traffic, or traffic control devices. I drove 90 miles wednsday and had to pass maybe 3 cars.
Car: 04 Dodge 1500 weighing in at an average of 6-6700 lbs
Miles on Truck: 103k
Gallons: 36.02 today
Miles: ???
MPG: 14 if I'm behaving, 12 ish if I'm not, Hey it's not my gas.

I'll update when I fill it up again, usually twice a week.

And the good news just picked up a 05 Jetta TDI and topped off the tank, I'm going to post up the numbers when I refill it as well... in about 2 weeks...suck it OPEC!

Car Type : 99' Chevrolet 3/4ton C2500
Miles on Car : 126k
Gallons : 24
Miles : 306
MPG : 12.75 mpg (towing my 240 @ 65mph blasting the 40 degree a/c) ~ 3,900lbs total

Since I bought it so far I've only changed the air filter.

Hoping to see at least 14mpg after a full tune-up and running some Seafoam through it.

All things considered I think this is pretty good.

Tank holds 34 gallons so I'm going to run it a bit lower next time before filling up. Scangauge was only 0.6 gallons off out of the box on my "gallons used"

Well after that autocross I ended up getting 23mpg. First gear around the entire course 8 times is apparently quite detrimental to my fuel mileage. I'm curious as to what your mileage was in the yaris loren.

Average from Safety Harbor to SPC with the AC off = 43.6 mpg. (turning off the AC makes a HUGE difference)

After 8 runs, average was down to 25.7!

Trip home with A/C on and driving a little faster averaged 37.5. Overall average for the day was up over 30, but I forgot to look at it after I got home.

Since I just filled up... I'm going to try to "recover" from the autocross and get up to at least 38 for the tank... driving to SC for the Lemons race on Thursday, so it will be all highway miles, should be doable.

I just got 40.25 for my last tank. 419 Miles, 10.41 Gallons. Can't wait for my scanguageII.

Brings my average since owning the car up over the EPA highway mark.. woot!. Now to keep the all time average over 36.

ouch
2004 dodge 1500 loaded to the gills.

I just got 12.34 for this tank 414.1 on 33.55 gallons, got to love the company gas card.

We just had a guy pick up the new company truck...It's a Colorado, guess they are getting fed up with the prices as well.

I just calculated my average for the autocross. Over 8 runs, with a combined driving time of roughly 7 minutes, I burned an entire gallon of gas, and averaged about 5 mpg

I think the point of this thread is to post GOOD mpg results. People seem to have lost sight of that.

If you want to talk up how poor your fuel mileage is or anything other than just posting your BEST mpg/tank (and I don't think anyone really cares whether you get 12 or 15 mpg in your work truck... if the number is less than about 30, you're wasting our time)... I think you should start a new thread.

Even the mighty Yaris gets crappy fuel mileage at an autocross! That's a topic for another thread.
